Starting Xoop Homes has been one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences of my life. As a brand-new host, each day brings something different—and I’m learning that hospitality is more than just opening your doors. It’s about creating a space where people feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home.
One of the biggest surprises so far has been how quickly I’ve grown to love the little details that make our space special. A guest favorite? Each guest brings a story, and I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some truly lovely people already. One memorable visit was a mother of two who arrived late in the evening. Tired from a long journey, she was grateful when we offered breakfast the next morning to help them settle in. It was a small gesture, but it reminded me how much comfort can be found in simple acts of kindness.
Another heartwarming stay was with a family of three. The wife cooked every single day—they loved using the fully equipped kitchen—and the scent of home-cooked meals filled the cottage. Her husband? He made the back porch his personal retreat, soaking in the peace and quiet with a view of the garden. It was so rewarding to see them enjoying the space just as I imagined guests would.
Xoop Homes is still in its early days, but this journey is already proving to be full of learning, laughter, and meaningful connections. I don’t know exactly where this road will take me—but I do know I’m excited for every step ahead.
