Community Charitable Ministry Donation (CCM)

The Community Charitable Ministry have been assisting families with their primary needs for the past twelve (12) years, including but not limited to the following:

• School supplies
• Food packages and clothing
• Finance for medical assistance
• Provide counseling and encouragement to delinquents in the community!
• Function as a body that contributes to the continued development of the Christian Society.

The Community Charitable Ministry was established in December 2008 with the sole purpose of assisting those in need within the community.  CCM recognizes the number of needy individuals within the various communities, and by extension, within the country of Antigua and Barbuda.  Over the years there has been an increased need for our services and the charity has been working diligently to fulfill the requests of everyone who asks for assistance.

The number of families that we assist has increased since the pandemic. Most recently we have had to increase the frequency of distribution to twice monthly for some families that no longer have an income to support themselves.  To lessen the spread of Covid-19, we have decided to issue food vouchers rather than prepare food packages for distribution.

In addition to hunger, the pandemic has posed another dire issue in our community, namely homelessness.  The loss of jobs has left many families without a place to call home.  Presently, there are at least two different families, in the community that have reached out to us, who are in dire need of a comfortable place to stay short-term.

Unfortunately, there are no free emergency housing available in Antigua and Barbuda, and many families need a safe place to stay when they fall on hard times.  Consequently, one of CCM’s long term goal is to construct a facility in Antigua to be used as a Community Outreach Centre and Transitional Housing.

The organization is currently conducting a fundraising campaign to raise one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) to facilitate its most recent COVID-19 Initiative. The proceeds will be used to aide families who have become jobless and are suffering during these hard economic times. Many are struggling to provide a warm meal for their children.

All our services are free, and we operate through fundraisers, donations, and volunteerism.  CCM is seeking likeminded partners, please consider becoming a regular donor. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
